Soya Keema Pav is a healthy vegetarian recipe made using soya chunks or soya granules. Usually, Keema is made of mutton or beef, but why should all the non-vegetarians have all the fun.. Yes! That’s the reason we vegetarians always find a way to substitute the animal product and can still enjoy the super delicious flavors of the flood.

To make Soya Keema Pav the soya chunks are soaked in warm salted water for 10 minutes then minced in the grinder. Later it is added to the onion-tomato masala along with other Indian spices. The real flavors come with the addition of whole spices like cinnamon stick, black pepper, bay leaf, star anise, cloves, etc.

 
This dish is wholesome, nutritious, and quick. You can make the keema ahead of time, so this can be a really good option for the parties or get-togethers. When guests arrive, just toast the Pav or bread in some butter and serve hot.

Chana Dal Recipe is a restaurant-style protein-rich flavorful recipe. This recipe is so flavorful and what makes it more delicious is the use of fresh ingredients which are very easily available in Indian Kitchen. This is a north Indian style Chana Dal recipe.

In this recipe, Chana dal is first soaked for 1-2 hours then boiled with turmeric powder and salt. Boiled Chana dal is then cooked with onion, tomatoes, later it is tempered with a bunch of spices to make it super flavorful. This double-tempered Chana dal recipe is best served with roti or rice.

Chana Dal is one of my favorite dals to enjoy with rice. Made with fresh ingredients and a handful of spices, this dal is packed with flavors! My mom is a big fan of dal, so she used to make dal 5 times a week along with seasonal dry veg. Mostly toor/arhar dal, moong, and masoor dal were made at my home. This Chana dal was not made frequently maybe because it takes more time to digest and is heavy on the stomach.

So whenever we are bored of eating dal or our fridge is out of veggies then my mom used to make and serve this recipe with steamed rice topped with some extra ghee. (Yeah Indian Mom always wishes to add ghee in almost all the recipes.

Suran Ki Sabji or Jimikand Ki Sabji or Yam curry is a North Indian style spicy and delicious curry made of Suran, onion, tomato, and spices. Its healthy, delicious and has meaty texture.

Suran is also known as Jimikand or elephant foot or yam and is grown in tropical regions. Suran is an underground vegetable and is a member of the arbi, yam and sweet potato family. This vegetable has a good number of antioxidants and beta carotene properties which boosts up the immunity of the body. It also contains many vitamins and minerals, which are beneficial for health.

Suran or Jimikand can be a little hard to cut due to its stony exterior. Thoroughly wash the yam after peeling to remove any dirt. The skin is tough and releases liquid which is sometimes itchy. So to avoid that I always grease my palms with oil before cutting it.

There are irritant properties in suran/Jimikand, thus the prevalent practice is to first boil it in either vinegar water, lemon or tamarind after cutting it. After that, you can enjoy it in different forms. To avoid itchy feeling in your throat make sure to cook it properly.

Veg Tawa Fry or Tawa Sabzi Masala recipe is one of the favorite vegetarian preparation available specially during wedding party. Whenever I think of wedding food this mouth watering dry veg recipe always comes 1st in my mind.
It a party winner dish, When ever we go in any function we always try this. It is particularly made and served as a starter in the buffet but can also be served as dry curry with a choice of Indian flatbreads.
This is really very delicious but I cannot tag this recipe as healthy as in this recipe we have to deep fry the veggies before adding them to the spicy masala paste. I always try to find a way to make recipes with less oil. If you really want to enjoy this dish at home and with less oil then I will highly recommend to use air-fryer for frying the veggies.
When I first time tried this recipe at home in US, I fried all the veggies in the air-fryer and believe me nobody will get to know that you have fried all the veggies with just 1/2 teaspoon oil. Soon I am going to buy another Air-fryer here in India.
In this blog I am sharing the conventional way of making Veg Tawa Fry, but if you have air-fryer at home I will recommend using it for frying veggies.

I used all the leftover vegetables from my fridge. You can choose any veggies of your choice arbi, parwal, capsicum, potato, brinjan, bhindi, karela, tinda etc. However, you need to be careful while frying the vegetables as every vegetable’s cooking time differs.

Veg Chow Mein is one of the most popular street foods in India and a lot of other countries. Chow means stir-fried and Mein means noodles. It is made with noodles, fresh sauteed veggies and simple sauces.

Mostly during the weekend we cook special food and whenever I ask my husband what’s your preference he always chooses Chinese and he agrees to do the chopping and I happily agree. Once all the chopping is done he calls me and then I enter the kitchen as a head chef and prepare the dish and say look how fast I make dinner, then he responds with a cute smile. Preparing Chinese food requires lots of chopping but the cooking time is very less.

My whole family loves Chinese recipes like Gobi Manchurian, Mushroom Fried Rice, Egg Fried Rice, Garlic Fried Rice and I love how quickly it comes together, plus it’s one of those recipes we all agree on.

Last weekend all I really wanted was a giant bowl of Chow Mein with pan-fried noodles to that perfect crispness and crunch so thought of sharing our family favorite recipe with you guys. Lemon Pickle or Nimbu Ka Achaar recipe is a quick and easy way of making the traditional spicy and tangy Indian condiment with very few ingredients easily available in our kitchen.

It is a popular pickle recipe made with lemons cut into pieces and mixed with red chili powder, salt, turmeric, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, carom seeds, cumin seeds, combined together and store for a period of time. Lemon Pickle is one spicy tangy no-oil pickle that is usually served with dal-rice or paratha or puri.

Pickle is something that is by default always available at home. Lemon, Chili and Mango Pickle is my all time favorite pickle. Last week I got fresh limes from Indian store. So thought of making some fresh batch of it. Its a great way to add some zest in your Indian food as Indian meal is not complete without a selection of side dishes and condiments.

In the summers, I make a large batch of Mango pickle, Gajar Mooli Ka Achar and use it for the remaining year. This year I also made Stuffed Green Chili Pickle and Pickled onion.
