This full moon releasing ritual consists of;

🌕 A 60 minute yoga flow
🌕 Sunset view over the Sea
🌕 A full moon guided meditation
🌕 A fire ceremony to release negativity

The Full Moon is a beautiful time to slow down & get connected with your inner Self. Charge up on lunar energy & use the magic of the full moon to release

🌕 Upset, hurt & unwanted feelings
🌕 Pain in the body & stress in the mind

We start our ceremony with Chandra Namaskar aka moon saluting, a gentle, energy restoring yoga practice either on the beach or overlooking it depending on tides.

This 60 minute practice consists of hip opening & side stretching postures in a flowing sequence to connect with our bodies moon channel aka the feminine dominance in our energy system.

We'll get to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the water whilst witnessing the rising of the moon.

We then gather around the bonfire under the light of the full moon to meditate.

Using the power of fire energy we release negativity that is holding us back in our life and give forgiveness.
This created space to bring in new energy & invite in good vibes!

The Summer Solstice is approaching 🌞

The Longest Day.

This is a powerful time of year to down tools & do some self care to experience shifts in your health & find a deeper meaning to life.

In Yoga, we have long recognised the power of the sun, our primary source of light🌞

🌞 Suyra, the sun is revered as both the physical and spiritual heart of our world and the creator of all life itself.

The practice Surya Namaskar aka Sun Salutations is the physical act of bowing to the sun.

It is a dynamic sequence moving the body in all directions, it helps to clear the energy pathways. It is a balancing sequence and each movement touches at least one of the chakras.

It helps to invigorate the body while creating space & offers a deeper connection to nature & all of the incredible elements that we couldn't live without.

Connection.

Time in nature offers a chance to realise we are part of it. 

Not just a visitor to the garden but an integral part of it's survival or destruction.

This week I've been blessed to hold space on the incredible landscape of the Kent Coast.

Observing visitors in ceremony or practice getting emotional as they recognise they NEED more time like this.
In nature.
With self nurturing practices.
With other people in their physical environment not just a screen.

Prioritise a moment today to just be. 

To stare at a plant and take a deep breath offering gratitude for the gift exchange of air.

Powerful plant healing 

This week has been sensational.

Holding space for souls that have opened up to the healing power of nature & joined me in ceremony with plant medicine cacao on the beach.

Using meditation, movement, breathwork & cacao we have journeyed within, connected with our heart energy & felt the powerful healing effects.

I feel so honoured to get to use my time in this way but the rewards really come when we  close ceremony & share the experience.

There is a deep longing for type of INquiry of self yet we rarely make time for it.

Our minds are buzzing & busy with the thought's & actions we think other's expect from us.

  Most of us have forgotten to use the power of our breath & have developed poor breathing habits that in turn cause poor health.

Yoga requires arm strength!!

 
If you've ever felt shaky in your downward dog or never dared attempt crow- then this is the season to build some strength!

The average person is now spending 10+ hours per day on screens causing tight, tense & achy shoulders, arms & upper backs. 

We need to be offering these areas of the body some movement nutrition so that we don't suffer the effects in a painful or uncomfortable way.

Over the course of this month we will be working on poses that relieve shoulder tension, build strength in the arms & flexibility in the wrists.
 
BRING A STRAP/BELT and yoga props such as bricks & blocks to the classes this month.

How often do you practice self nurturing & self care?

A weekly exercise class?
A monthly massage?
An annual spa trip?

Looking after ourselves be should a DAILY practice if we want to have freedom from feelings of anxiety, to cope with stress & be free from illness & disease.

And it's when we feel unwell, ill, exhausted & anxious that we often finally decide to begin a self care practice. To banish the pain & suffering.

This takes devotion & commitment but we start to find balance again.

Imagine if you took action before the pain started? Imagine if you took care of yourself like you take care of a child or loved one.

Your body would flourish, your mind would expand & your relationships blossom.

Anxiety can feel dark, heavy...... a burden to deal with.
