My friend, Luke is having a blast at Blue Wave Surf Camp this week! Blue Wave is a new surfing camp being offered this summer through the Recreation Department of the City of Coronado. The camp is offered weekly throughout the summer, Monday thru Friday and is geared towards kids aged 6-18 with special attention given to novice surfers. The camp includes surfing instruction for all levels and many ocean activities such as bodysurfing, snorkeling, offshore paddling and the kids also learn about marine biology, oceanography, and beach safety. Sign-up by calling the City Recreation Department at 619-522-7342. Coronado Is Calling... coronadoiscalling.com
We had a great time at the Coronado Promenade Concerts in Spreckels Park yesterday! Even a little rain couldn039;t spoil the fun and I discovered a fun little perk of going to the concerts, refreshment stands run by the kids of the homes that surround the park! I got the tastiest snowcone from "Spreckels Sno-Cones" and walked past children running separate cupcake, cotton-candy and of course, lemonade stands. They were cleaning up! Their parents should be proud of these little entrepreneurs! Coronado Is Calling... coronadoiscalling.com

Charisma has rebranded as Crown Meets Sea! This re-imagining of their adorable shop at 1158 Orange Avenue compliments their specialty in curated gifts. As before, they will feature local Coronado favorites. The shop is really conveniently located and always has great Coronado-themed gifts for my clients, friends and family. It feels good supporting this small business while they support other small businesses that are based in the area! Coronado Is Calling! coronadoiscalling.com
