It’s really actually very simple science!⁠
⁠
Start your body recomposition by eating in a calorie deficit and consistent resistance training. You’ll shred fat in this stage, and if you’re new to lifting you can even build muscle in this phase.⁠
⁠
After 3-4 months of consistent dieting, you want to reverse diet. This means slowly increasing your calories to maintenance where you can “main-gain”. This protects your metabolism after the weeks in a deficit and allows you to build more muscle mass.⁠

Keep repeating this cycle until you have achieved the muscle tone you want!💪🏼⁠

This banana yogurt cake is such an easy vegan macro friendly dessert/breakfast/snack. 🌱⁠

You can bake this and have it throughout the entire week as breakfast or snack!⁠
⁠
The entire cake is 970 calories with over 50g of protein!⁠
⁠
If you cut it in 8 pieces, it’s only 120 calories per slice. 💪🏻⁠

✨ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁠

100g oat flour⁠
45g of vegan protein powder⁠
400g vegan yogurt (I use unsweetened vanilla from @so_delicious)⁠
2 tbsp ground flax seeds⁠
2 tbsp agave syrup⁠
⁠
Blend everything together and bake on 380 Fahrenheit for about 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean!⁠

There’s no such thing as “being bad” when it comes to food.⁠

“I was bad and ate cookies on the weekend!”⁠
⁠
Let’s tackle this head-on. Eating cookies is not bad and does not make you a bad person.⁠
⁠
Correlating certain types of foods to “good” or “bad” is sabotage.⁠
⁠
The media has done a wonderful job at creating fear around foods. There’s so many absolutely outrageous magazines out there that promote the most insane diet strategies.⁠
⁠
It’s no wonder why you feel this way.⁠
⁠
Forcing yourself to eat “perfectly” or “clean” all the time will NOT be healthier for you.⁠
⁠
It will lead to binging on weekends or giving up altogether because you can’t stick to it anymore.⁠
⁠
Believing that eating that cookie or the chocolate cake or even that pizza was “bad” and unhealthy leads to beating yourself up about it.⁠
⁠
It might even lead to you skipping your next meal or doing an extra workout to “burn it off”. THIS is unhealthy!⁠
⁠
Focus on being REALISTIC. Balance is key for success - physically and mentally.⁠
⁠
If you love cookies, plan 1 into your meals every now and then. If you can’t live without pizza, enjoy a slice or two on occasion.⁠

You’ll enjoy life more.⁠

Obviously make sure to stay on track with your overall energy consumption, but these are a great option when you want to stay on track with your nutrition.⁠

And going vegan the left way and just eating whatever will lead you to nutrient deficiencies, low energy and lead to you quitting the lifestyle sooner than later. :(⁠
