🤔If you039;re planning to go hiking off-leash with your furry friends, you need to 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥’𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭! Trails are public spaces that have their own sets of regulations on dogs. When planning your hike, be sure to check the local authority’s website to find out whether your intrepid pooch is allowed off-leash before letting him roam free. Be mindful that everyone has the right to enjoy the trail in peace and for some, that means without being jumped on by excitable pups. If the trail requires dogs to be on a leash, be a responsible owner and play by the rules. You could end up with a hefty fine if you don’t. 💡Find more tips for hiking off-leash! Moving into Your New House? 🏠 We’ve listed some useful tips to help you prepare your dog for moving into your new house. 𝟏. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 ~ Note down tasks such as packing up their harness and leash and contacting their vet. Once you get everything down on paper, you’ll probably realize there are quite a few things that slipped your mind – particularly when you have to think about your dog’s move as well! 𝟐. 𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 ~ Particularly when it comes to questions about your dog when in doubt, your best bet is to ask an expert. 𝟑. Even if you’re going to stick with those places, it’s still important to inform them so they can keep their records up to date. 𝟒. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐍𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 ~Familiarizing your dog with their new neighborhood will do wonders for helping your dog settle in. In summer039;s blistering heat, it is essential to keep your favorite pooch hydrated and happy. Skin elasticity is a good way to test for hydration levels! 💡Here039;s a SIMPLE TEST! ~𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐠039;𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 gently between your thumb and forefinger, then release. If it bounces back immediately, all is well, 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 water. If it doesn039;t, then you know your dog is 𝐝𝐞𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝. Be sure to perform the test when he is fully hydrated too, so you can tell the difference, especially if your dog is a wrinkly breed such as a Bulldog or Mastiff. Their skin can be misleading. 👍 If you want to learn more about how you can make your dog stay hydrated this summer, click the link in bio!
