Redeemer is a warm, welcoming school offering the International Baccalaureate program from age 3 at ELC to Year 7 in South Australia's Barossa Valley.

This week at the ELC, Mr Loveday organized a rainbow fruit and vegetable platter for Wattle Studio children to enjoy. The children got a chance to try an assortment of colored foods, some of which were new to them. The children are learning how important it is to eat a rainbow of foods every day.

Well hello Spring, nice to see you again 🌞

The Creators made the most of this lovely sunny day, out on the oval for their PE lesson with Mr Dow.

Watch out Patty Mills, we may have some future basketball stars among us πŸ€

Redeemer Year 6 and 7 students attended the District SAPSASA Basketball competition last Friday at The Rex and managed to win all 22 of their games. All four teams will now go into the state finals, to be held later this term. Their coaches were Mr Geer and Mrs Hayes. The kids were great sports and played with humility, well done everyone πŸ˜€

Book Week 2021 πŸ“š

That's a wrap folks, what an amazing end to the week. We had so many colourful and creative characters yesterday at school, it's a pity we can't show you photos of them all.

Book Week activities continue πŸ“š

Together as a class our Connectors (Years 1 & 2) have been reading a book called Ellie's Dragon. The students then had to design their own dragon and create a plate of food they thought the dragon would like to eat

Our Creators (years 3 & 4) managed to get outside today before the rain hit to continue building their insect hotels.

This step involved filling the hotels with natural materials for the insects to nest in 🐜

Today we were lucky enough to be visited by Senior Constable Randal Murch who presented a session to our years 3-7 about cyber safety. Students learnt about how to be safe while online, responsible communication and cyber bullying.

In Maths, our Connectors (Years 1 and 2) have been learning about the different units of measurement. For this task, students were required to measure their object in various ways (length, weight, area, etc) and create a poster to show their findings.

Today is the day the teddy bears had their picnic 🐻

We were lucky enough to be able to have our playgroup outside today. The children got to make their own bear headbands and teddy biscuits before heading out to enjoy their picnic.

Robot Report πŸ€–

This term, in Digital Technology, our students are learning to program robots.

Our Discoverers (Foundation) are pictured with their Bee-Bots. The children learn basic programming skills as they are able to plan directions for the bots using symbols.
