SAVE THIS (bottom right corner of this post) You039;ll need it the next time you go for a photoshoot 📸 Tip 1: The most important thing to do for your next shoot is to be PREPARED! Without a clear idea of your goal for the shoot, you won039;t get the most out of your investment! Tip 2: This is an investment in your business! Make sure that your photographer knows exactly what you want and that you have a shot list. Tip 3: Have a shot list you can refer to during the shoot. This is a list of photos you need to have for this shoot to be fully successful. These photos need to based on how you will use them. Tip 4: Make sure you have a purpose for the photos you want. What content will be paired with them, where will you use them etc. Tip 5: Trust your photographer but do your own research! Need more tips? Reach out to us (DM or email) 📷 @emmilyjanne

At the time of this post, I039;m 5 months from graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (majoring in Sculpture) and a Bachelor of Art History and Curatorship (minoring in Photography) 📷 Whilst this has kept me busy, I have also spent 6 months (of COVID time) in @emilyosmond 039;s Modern Marketing Collective learning all the things to do with social media marketing for two reasons: 1. To maximise The Art Makings success at a time where everything is online 2. To ensure I knew how to produce photographs and written content that reflected the spaces they would be published too And with a lot of practice, I039;m here, striving to improve and offer the highest quality of service ☀️ Slide into our DM039;s for more info 📸@emmilyjanne
WHY YOUR COPY MATTERS 🧩 The written content that is release online is often overlooked as something that isn039;t that important. I039;m here to tell you why it is... The copy that is on your website, blogs, articles, etc is now used by Google to rank your website in their search engine. If your copy isn039;t integrating keywords and phrases in particular places you won039;t rank highly ☹️ Not only this but your copy is often enough to make your audience decide if they will stay on your page or just click out! What are some things you can do to increase your chances... besides hiring me, you can download my strategy based FREE workbook and learn how to optimize your copy 😍 Link in bio 📷@emmilyjanne of @byhannahjohnston
It039;s time we talk about the P word. Procrastination. Naturally, when something is stressful or a task is big or boring we avoid it, however, in most cases, this just builds the stress up and makes it harder to do whatever the thing is 🤦🏼♀️ So I039;m going to share my top tips on releasing the negative energy that is procrastination! 1. Put the task into perspective. Normally, we039;ll exaggerate how big, boring, hard (etc) the task is. By putting into perspective with other tasks it will start to seem less daunting 2. Why do you need to do this task? By having a clear reason or end goal you might find your motivation to do the task increases. 3. Schedule it in. Get out your calendar and schedule in time to do it. This will prove you have the time to complete it and hopefully decrease the stress you039;re experiencing over it ☺️ How guilty are you of procrastinating? 👇🏼 ✏️ @oliverose.designs
3 tips to better photos 📷 1. When it comes to creating visuals for your brand, it is all in your planning, e.g. types of shots, locations, the type of vibe. Knowing these things will save you time and keep you039;re brand consistent ✨ 2. Where the light source is coming from affects how the photo will be read. Spotlights from the side, light from behind the photographer, etc. 3. The best way to get better is to just take photos. Day and night, just take photos whenever you have the chance. Hit save so you have this when it matters 🎞 📸 @emmilyjanne
shhhh... it039;s secret time 😶 We all have that embarrassing thing we wanted to be when we grew up... maybe not embarrassing but mine is 🤭 I was going to be an Olympic swimmer 🏊🏻♀️ it was my dream -- until I realised that well was a bit out of reach and met my true match. Art ♡ Comment what you wanted to be when you grew up, I039;m sure it was way more realistic 😉
The last year039;s been tough, it039;s just a fact 🤷🏼♀️ Self care, self-love, and self-help are more important than ever. This is why I want to bring your attention to Laura and her brain baby @mindmattersco 🧠 Laura (Provisional Psych) is exceeding herself with her IG that provides digital resources for mental health. If you require (which everyone does) some positive and well thought out and mentally safe content on your feed head over to @mindmattersco and acknowledge that your mind matters ☀️ ✏️ @herownrose
